No, these are not required for TurnLock items.  CE marking is only needed in Europe when the fasteners would be installed in a building.  Which is generally not the case.   There are new legislations –set in force 2013 - which require a CE certification for fasteners for construction applications! The single fastener doesn’t need a marking, but paperwork does, and also packing should mention the CE-certification of the related product.  all components which become part of a building need to be CE-Certified.   “This new directive which comes into force July 2013, applies to materials which become a permanent part of a building/construction. If we supply our fasteners via a customer (could be a distributor), and then they are onward supplied to a company manufacturing a sub-assembly which will then become part of a building/construction, then that company supplying the sub-assembly must CE mark that assembly.  If we supply direct to the company erecting the building/construction then the fasteners must be CE marked. This law is not applicable outside Europe!
